|We had to
make the hard decision to let Walter go over the bridge. He had turned 12 in September. He
went on all of
our trips with us and enjoyed going on all the extra walks that trips
entail. He was a good boy and worked hard at keeping everyone "in
Walter LOVED toys! His favorite
was a yellow Cuz ball. He knew where it wass at all times
and didn't want anyone else to have it. If someone else got
it, he would watch and hover until he got the opportunity to swoop in
and get it back!
He was very observant. Anytime we
brought something new into the house, he knew it. He could be in
another room or outside, but when he came in, he would immediately go
to whatever you had brought in!
Katie could drive him crazy - always
wanting to lick on him, but he was tolerant and put up with her.
Walter joined our family
in December 1997. (Thank you Sue
and Roy Anderson.) He had to have major leg surgery on both
of his back legs when he was about a year and a half old so wasn't
able to compete in agility or obedience - however, he was a champion couch
potato and we loved him SO very much! We miss you Wally Wally
